In 2020 and 2021, The Williamston Theatre’s The Fire Tour project provided the impetus to research and perseverate on fire. This year-long painting project resulted in the works submitted for this application. In addition to research via photography, I spent time viewing fire in a number of physical manifestations, including campfires, fireplaces, brush burning, and more.
